This article was fantastic! Thanks for sharing! I think Maria Gunnoe makes a good point in the article about the human impact resulting from mountaintop removal (MTR). People suffer serious health effects and many have been forced from their homes (see page 45-46 in the book).

Thought this was interesting. It's a book review on "Coal River" that appeared in the New York Times back in 2008.
